Dude, all the time!
How about most of my life. Growing up with a disability kind of made that choice for me. Now as a deaf individual, I fight to stay out of the box people tend to stick me in.
These days I find being an outcast is a commodity. I wouldn't want to be like anyone else. Kind of like being uniquely me. (Hugs)Indigo
Indigo, I love your attitude - finding strength out of adversity is a theme for me, and I really admire it in other people. I think a lot of readers have experienced being an outcast in some way and hope they can relate to Miranda's experience. That part was hard to write because it brought up emotions I'd rather not re-live! But in the end, I think those experiences helped her transformation.
I think everyone has felt like an outcast at some point, which is funny if you think about it. Being an outcast is a universal experience.
No. I march to the beat of my own drum.
