August: Are You Wild or Quiet?

Holly says, "Xanda was wild and reckless, while Miranda was more quiet and solitary. Which sister do you resemble? Which do you admire?"

I'm a total mix of both--I even get 50/50 Introvert/Extrovert on personality tests! (It's the gemini in me.)

I, too, am a mix of both. I think I may still be slightly towards the quiet side, but I can be loud and obnoxious even with people I'm not good friends (or even friends) with.

I wish I could say I want to be like Xanda, but I believe she'd prefer me to become like my mother instead. :P

I'm not at all quiet. I'm full of life, song, and laughter. I'm always moving. However, I'm not "reckless" or "wild."

I'm also a mix of both.

When my sister and I were girls, I was quiet and solitary and she was wild. There was a line (literally) down the middle of our room. Her side had boy posters and decorative beerchains. My side had dolls and Holly Hobbie. Secretly, I admired her, but she drove me crazy. We're great friends now, and we're both a mix of quiet and wild, depending on the occasion.

When I was really little--early elementary school--I was incredibly quiet and shy. I do remember feeling like I could burst out of that shell a bit by late elementary school. Forever after, I've been that naturally shy person who will speak in front of strangers and crowds, and who might even seem extroverted. I do go nuts, though, if I can't have time to myself to think.

I admire both Xanda and Rand. Xanda's wildness, to me, was her way of showing courage. Rand did that in other ways. Their mom, on the other hand...

I'm a Miranda, quiet and solitary.
But I like the occasional social party. I'm best one on one though.

Melissa, me, too! It depends on the situation and people, whether I'm more social or quiet. I do admire Xanda's wildness and agree with Martha that it's a kind of courage. A bit self-destructive, but also incredibly selfless, if that makes sense. I think she would have done anything for Miranda.

I'm more like Rand. I can be playful and do like speaking in public, but I always need my quiet alone time. Maybe if I had more Xanda I'd do better at parties
