Ooh, what's Alphas like? In line with the Clique books?

Alphas is the start of a new series. It has some Clique-ish vernacular and similar writing style, but the girls are less catty, making it more like The Ashleys (by Melissa de la Cruz) yet at a futuristic high-pressure academy with 100 extremely talented (performing arts, visual arts, culinary arts, athletics, you name it) girls.

Ooh, that sounds really fascinating!
