March: Would You Want to Grow Up Royal?

Leviathan author Scott Westerfeld asks, "Would you want to grow up as royalty, if it meant you couldn't have any friends your own age?"

I'm pretty sure I'd be friends with the adults, so I'd be okay.

Hi, RGZ!

Just wondering if there's a way to get in touch with you outside of the site. Is there an e-mail address at which I can contact with regards to a new children's book? Thanks!

No, I don't think so. It would get pretty lonely, even if I had adults to talk to.

What're the other options? Growing up as a starving peasant?

And I think I'd be okey-dokey with the royalty and no one my age. Yep.

You, Scott?

Enna, :~)

I dont think I'd want to be royal in any case, with childhood friends or not. It's all the bad parts of being famous (stalked, judged, worshipped) with none of the good parts (like, actually accomplishing something).

Give me boring old democracy anytime.

I'd be royal in a second. I'm good with adult pals. I like crowns and fancy dresses. :)
