Poetry Friday: Steampunk

Steampunk

Like graphite smudges,
steampunk shadows flit through time
intersecting life.

Lorie Ann Grover, 2010

I'm super inspired by rgz pic Leviathan and the whole sci-fi fantasy subgenre of Steampunk. Of course, hanging at Radcon helped! Happy Poetry Friday, rgz!

I love it! The accompanying photo is perfect, too. I'm in kind of a steampunk way myself these days. LEVIATHAN was great, and I also just finished the (adult book) PERDIDO STREET STATION by China Mieville, which is in that sort of vein, too. Fun!

Hah! I like me a steampunk haiku.

My ornithopter
flits through the spires of London
setting them on fire.

Heh.
