I really liked Ten Cents a Dance by Christine Fletcher, North of Beautiful by Christina Headley, Greater Gains by K.M. Peyton, Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. Next week I am leading a discussion of Heaven to Betsy by Maud Hart Lovelace. Anyone in the Boston area is invited to come!

I am not a YA, but am a firm believer that excellent YA lit is enjoyable by old people as well. I highly recommend "Choke Creek" by Lauren Small. It is an excellently written novel about a teenage girl in Denver during the Vietnam war and a tale about how the past influences the present.
