The fantastic organization Alternatives for Girls, which helps homeless and high-risk girls avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation in favor of positive choices, has a wish list at Powell's of new books for their library. The Color Online Summer Book Drive is on, and they're asking for donations of new or gently used books by July 1. Pick from the fantastic list at Powell's (which includes a few readergirlz favorites!) or, to send donations directly, mail books media rate to:
