August: What's Your Creative Outlet?

Holly says, "Miranda is an artist who draws labyrinths to make sense of her past and present. What's your creative outlet?"

  1. Writing, mostly. But I draw too -- I used to draw a lot, don't do it as much as I used to though.

Sometimes I mess around on photoshop too, making pictures to illustrate song lyrics or quotes and things.

  2. Acting. Dancing. Singing.
    Reading. Writing.
    Directing. Choreographing. Teaching.

    Always imagining. Always creating.

  3. Primarily writing and acting, but sometimes dancing and drawing and collaging as well. Like LW said, imagining. Thinking.

  4. Writing feels like a job sometimes, but when I stop doing it for a few days, I miss it! Definitely a creative outlet.

  5. I feel like I am surrounded by creative and talented women, both online and off. My friends inspire me!

When I have time and can make a big mess, I love to paint and collage. (That scene in tmas where Miranda doesn't want to use the collage piece? That's in one of my real paintings!) I'm with Melissa - when writing becomes difficult, art is rejuvenating.

I'm not a culinary master, but I do like to cook and bake! And sew stuff, and do crafty things. I wish I could sing like Essence. I've always wanted to be in Guys and Dolls! :)

  6. So cool to read the comments and see friends celebrating art in so many ways. Writing is my first creative outlet, but I also write songs and sing, and I love collage. Wish I could draw . . .
    I love Rand's labyrinths, Holly.
