From the day you were born to today is your personal history, and it is important. You learned, you made mistakes, and you grew. Why is it important to know your own history? Why can't the past simply be ignored?
Yes I agree but you don't remember all of your history. Some of it is remembered by your parents, your friends and even people you pass on the street. By interacting with other people, by sharing a little of yourself and your history with them they too learning more about themselves. It it a path of self discovery on both sides, on may sides.
Besides, everyone remembers moments in time differently and that is why there is no one truth!
Our history is our past and the connection to our future. All who have gone before us left us something--some good, some not so good. We hope we don't make the same mistakes, and hope we can leave a bright and solid path for those who will come after us.
Because I'm learning along the way, right? I'm piecing together the puzzle that is me! And then helping others.
