December: Do you believe in fate?

Trickster's Choice by Tamora Pierce

Aly's work for the Balitangs starts somewhat forced but also seems fated, with the trickster's interference and all that follows. Do you believe in fate?

  1. I believe in PROVIDENCE! Just ask the other divas. They hear me all the time. :~)

  2. I do not believe in fate. I believe that what happens to you in life is a result of many things, including your attitude, work ethic and background. However, I do believe luck and timing play a role. Some might call the combination of those two, fate.

  4. I'm with Dia on the luck and timing and hardwork combination. I really think that fate is often pulled out as a cop out type of explanation when things go right (or wrong) for someone.

  5. I agree with you guys. I like the IDEA of fate, though. At least the good kind.

  9. Hi....
Things happen neither by fate nor randomly. In our physical reality, an event at this moment arises from a confluence of events, each with their own history of converging events. No result has a single cause or becomes the cause producing a result.
