When my father died suddenly a few years ago, I felt like I grew up in a snap. As time went by, I learned there are ways for me to still feel like a little kid again, but losing him was a big moment and it definitely matured me a lot, and quickly.
There are so many things that change my world but I think its the people around me that do so. Hanging with so many different people lets me see so many different perspectives and its helps to change the way I think.
The interesting things about big moments, like the attack that changed Jane's life, is that as hard as the and awful as the trauma is, it sometimes, with time, and gentle care, makes you see the world very differently.
That is what has happened with me. It takes time, though. And sometimes it's very hard.
I agree with Little Willow. Loss changed me hugely. Emily Dickinson said somethin like: So huge so hopeless to conceive is that which twice befell, parting is all we know of heaven, and all we need of hell.
Having a chronic illness for 4 1/2 years? Definitely changed my life, my perspective, my everything. For good, though, honestly. I'm so thankful for who I am today.
In everything, give thanks! Having a baby totally changed my world. All we are different and it's uneasy to judge someone by actions only...
