I hope to pass you on the highway someday...

I don't even know where to begin with my numerous unusual behaviors over the years (many of which Sophie shares, of course)... I went through a phase as a kid where I was terrified of the possibility of getting locked in places, so I avoided closing any doors, ever (which made, um, going to the bathroom tricky). I think I was going through a stressful time in my life-- I'd recently been bitten by two Dobermans. (Weird how that works... I adore dogs, but airplane bathrooms still make me nervous!)

The bright side of having personal experiences with odd fears and behaviors is that I can give them to my characters, and hopefully make the characters feel more alive and three-dimensional and unique. As a writer, I've learned that the things I've considered major flaws about myself throughout my life can be transformed into writing material... and I'm grateful for this!

Okay, enough psychoanalysis for the day... ;)Laura Resauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15492442901779966554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2632611338168133022.post-16343814755481959072009-05-13T17:09:00.000-07:002009-05-13T17:09:00.000-07:00I dance in the car... is that unusual?

I see numbers and patterns everywhere. I look for signs, for hope, for brightness. I am always, always thinking. Even when I'm not speaking or singing out loud, I'm doing so in my head. I'm rarely quiet and even more rarely still. Everything means something to me. Everything.Little Willowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17058463472836988047noreply@blogger.com
